The goal
of the federal Clean Water Act of 1972 is to protect the beneficial
uses of receiving waters by controlling pollutants from entering
the storm drain system.
The City of Long Beach fully supports the intent of the Clean
Water Act. The beneficial uses of our waterways are essential
factors to the quality of life for our citizens and of our
environment.
